Corozal – The visits of the Secretary of the Department of Housing, Ciary Pérez Peña, along with Governor Jennifer González Colón and officials from central government agencies continue. On this occasion, they traveled to Corozal, where they announced important projects funded by the Puerto Rico reconstruction program, CDBG-DR/MIT, assigned to the Department of Housing.
On this occasion, they visited the detour of Highway 142, where a new lighting infrastructure and the development of an Ecological Corridor will be built. The lighting is necessary to improve safety on this road, where several traffic accidents have been reported.
The project, which amounts to $5,575,900.00, is subsidized with funds from the aforementioned Housing program. Secretary Ciary Pérez Peña, along with Governor Jennifer González Colón, Mayor Luis García, and the agency heads, explained to the media the importance of this construction and the federal funds that will be used for such an important project.
