San Juan – The Secretary of the Department of Housing, Ciary Pérez Peña, and the Administrator of the Public Housing Administration (AVP), Juan A. Rosario Hernández, participated in the Public Hearing of the Puerto Rico Senate, where the budget of both agencies for the 2025-2026 fiscal year was discussed before the Finance Committee of the high legislative body.
In their respective appearances, before the Committee's president, Senator Migdalia Padilla, and senators, they presented the current budget situation and future needs of both the Department and the affiliated agency (AVP) for the next fiscal year.
On the other hand, Pérez Peña and Rosario Hernández, who were accompanied by officials from both agencies, explained the various initiatives they are carrying out to benefit the communities they serve, such as the land parcels and the 328 public housing developments. Meanwhile, in their presentations, they reaffirmed their commitment, in accordance with Governor Jennifer González's directives, to offer the best service and the necessary tools to strengthen the families and communities of Puerto Rico served by both agencies.
