San Juan – The Department of Housing joined the efforts of Governor Jenniffer González Colón's administration and other public agencies to assist those affected by Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica.

To this end, agency personnel were deployed to various donation collection points, including the Pedrín Zorrilla Coliseum and the Housing Department's main building on Barbosa Avenue in Hato Rey, where employees also collected donations.

At the Pedrín Zorrilla Coliseum, Secretary of State Rosachely Rivera Santana expressed her gratitude for the efforts of Housing Department employees and other agencies in collecting and packing the donations. Also present were Housing Secretary Ciary Pérez Peña and the administrator of the Public Housing Administration, Juan Rosario Hernández.

Thank you all for your collaboration and the donations you provided. Once again, the Department of Housing and its Public Housing Administration fulfilled their mission.
