San Diego, California - Secretary of the Department of Housing, Ciary Perez Peña, participated with staff from the Office of Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR/MIT) in the National Geospatial Executive Summit and the ESRI UC 2025 user conference held in San Diego, California.

At this conference, they shared ideas with Carlos A. Cardona, General Manager of Esri for the Caribbean and Latin America, and discussed the integration of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology into high school curricula in Puerto Rico. This was part of the CDBG-DR/MIT program's efforts to generate local training in the prevention, management, and mitigation of future emergencies or natural disasters.
