Peñuelas - As part of her visits to municipalities, Governor Jennifer González Colón and agency heads, including the Secretary of the Department of Housing, Ciary Pérez Peña, recently held a meeting with the Mayor of Peñuelas, Josean González, to address firsthand the main challenges facing Peñuelas communities regarding infrastructure, housing, and economic development in that municipality. Local legislators, Senator Jamie Barlucea and Representative Ensol Rodríguez, also joined and participated in the meeting.

Secretary Pérez Peña stated, "We were able to speak with Peñuelas residents to clarify questions about the various initiatives of our CDBG-DR/MIT program, and, together with program staff, we addressed the concerns and questions of Mayor González and his municipal employees."
