Vega Alta – With a $4.3 million investment from the City Revitalization Program, funded by the CDBG-DR recovery funds of the Department of Housing, the municipality of Vega Alta and its mayor, María Vega, inaugurated the Vega Alta Multifunctional Park (Vega Alta Park). It is located on PR-2 next to the City Hall.

At the event, Mr. Miguel González from the CDBG-DR Infrastructure area represented the Secretary of Housing, Ciary Pérez Peña, and highlighted the close collaboration between the municipality, its directors, employees, and the private company that developed the concept. "We fulfilled our Secretary's wishes to accelerate the reconstruction efforts, and in Vega Alta we found a team that expedited the design and construction process of this new family park."

Meanwhile, the president of the Municipal Legislature and administrator of the Public Housing Administration, Juan Rosario Hernández, reaffirmed the commitment of the legislature and Mayor María Vega to preserve the new facilities for the enjoyment of Vega residents and all of Puerto Rico.
