With great joy and excitement, the children of the Day Care Center of the Department of Housing and its affiliated agency, the Public Housing Administration (AVP), welcomed Santa Claus to their Christmas Party in a heartwarming way.
The children, along with their parents and grandparents, enjoyed the toy distribution activity at their traditional Christmas Party. The entire activity was sponsored by the Day Care Center's Parents' Association, in its efforts to ensure their children have access to extracurricular activities.
The occasion also served as an opportunity for children ages 2 to 4, children or grandchildren of Department, AVP, and CDBG-DR/MIT Program employees, to delight their families with an artistic performance singing Christmas songs and beautiful Christmas carols prepared with the help of their teachers: Ms. Mayra Escalera, Ms. Carmen Negrón, Ms. Nayda Varcarcel, and Ms. Rosa Cordero. Also working at the Day Care Center are Ms. Wanda Álamo, a cook, and Ms. Ederlis Cordero, a kitchen manager. All of this staff is supervised by the Center's director, Ms. Laura Dávila.
The children's characters Cocomelon and Elf Under Chair were present at the event, delighting the children. The event was also attended by the Assistant Secretary of Human Resources of the Department of Housing, Lisneida Nieves Martinez.
Congratulations to everyone!
