San Juan – Claudia María López De Victoria Rodríguez, 26, currently works in a medical office and is studying Optical Sciences. This young professional decided to purchase a home in the Villas de Coamo project and secured an option on it. After the project was renovated with federal ARPA funds, it was offered for sale to people with moderate or low incomes who could afford to buy a home.

The young woman says the area is quiet, and the apartments are renovated and very nice. She is very happy and grateful for the Housing Finance Authority's (HFA) assistance program for first-time homebuyers, which will finance her mortgage and offered her a down payment subsidy of over $20,000.
