Ponce – The Undersecretary of the Department of Housing, Attorney Omar Figueroa Vázquez, represented the agency's Secretary, Ciary Pérez Peña, at a meeting convened by the Mayor of Ponce, Marlese Cifre, to discuss security issues.

Also participating in the meeting were the Municipal Police Commissioner, the Director of the Public Housing Administration's Security Office, Daniel Paneto, the Ponce Police Commander, the Chief Prosecutor of Ponce, and the Administrative Judge of the Ponce Court.

The Undersecretary stated, “We are committed to the safety and well-being of our residents in the AVP housing communities. Therefore, on behalf of Secretary Pérez Peña, you can count on our AVP Security Office to coordinate joint efforts between the municipal and state police to control or minimize criminal incidents in our housing complexes.”
