The cooperative model is an effective tool for addressing the island's housing needs. Therefore, the Secretary of the Department of Housing met with Glorimar Lamboy, Commissioner of the Cooperative Development Commission (CDC), Blanca Fernández, Executive Director of the Housing Finance Authority (AFV), and executives of the island's cooperative movement to join forces and seek housing alternatives for the benefit of low- and middle-income residents.
