Carolina – The Department of Housing (DV) and its Public Housing Administration (AVP) hosted a social gathering for students participating in the Summer Employment Program at both agencies. The young people, aged 16 to 20, are children of DV and AVP employees. AVP Administrator Juan Rosario Hernández and Assistant Secretary of Human Resources Arleen Barreto participated in the event, representing DV Secretary Luis Augusto Martínez Román.

The 75 young attendees participated in workshops on self-esteem and personal development, led by psychologist Dr. Windybeth Ferrer, and another important workshop on preventing alcohol abuse and vaping, offered by specialist Edgardo Colón from ASSMCA (Association of Mental Health and Children's Rights Institutions). The event also included a salsa dance class led by Chris Santos from the Department of Recreation and Sports, lunch, and time spent at the Vivo Beach Club pool.

Finally, each young person received a backpack and a 32-gigabyte memory stick for future studies or work.
