Guaynabo – The Department of Housing recognizes the work of all its employees from its affiliated agency, the Public Housing Administration (AVP), and the CDBG-DR/MIT disaster recovery program.

In celebration of Accountants and Finance Officers Week, Department Secretary Ciary Pérez Peña and AVP Administrator Juan Rosario Hernández recently offered a professional seminar to these employees at the Terra Campestre Convention Center in Guaynabo.

On behalf of Secretary Pérez Peña, Undersecretary of Housing Omar Figueroa expressed his gratitude for the continued efforts of each Finance and Accounting department of the agencies and programs to meet the needs of clients, visitors, suppliers, and employees. Meanwhile, AVP Administrator Rosario Hernández reiterated his commitment to continue providing the technological tools and support necessary for the smoothest and most efficient operation of his departments.

The event featured staff from the Speaker Brio 27 group, including mentor and social communicator Yizette Cifredo, clinical psychologist Dr. Irma Torres, and actor and comedian Reynaldo Cruz, who, with his character Narso, closed with a motivational and humorous talk, rounding out the educational, motivational, and professional development talks. The event concluded with the presentation of gifts to all Finance employees from the three aforementioned areas.
